How To Make Buttercream Icing

Simple Perfect light and fluffy BUTTER CREAM ICING

  • 2 Cup | 500g Butter
  • 6 Cups | 750g Powdered Sugar
  • 2 | 10ml Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 4 | 60ml Tablespoons Milk
You can add coloring and/or other flavorings at the same time as you add the vanilla and milk.Add the milk gradually if you would like to thin out the buttercream.
You can increase the ingredient accordingly depend on the quantity of icing cream you need for your cake.
  1. Add the butter to a mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer and beat for 5 minutes until light, pale and doubled in volume.
  2. Gradually add the sugar ½ cup at a time beating well in between each addition.
  3. Once all of the sugar has been incorporated add the vanilla and milk (see note) and beat until combined.
