Senator Kashamu Has Denies Threatening To Kill Anyone Over His Extradition Order

A Nigeria Senator, Buruji Kashamu has denied reports that he threatened to kill anyone who tried to extradite him The senator said he never said three or more persons would die before he is extradited to the United States of America.
Reacting to the reports, the spokesperson for the senator Austin Oniyorkor said his principal never made such a comment.
Oniyorkor said: “He did not say anything of such.”
He also claimed the journalist who first started the story quoted the senator out of context.
“The reporter will be remorseful about what he wrote. He’d promised to rectify it by way of doing a feature or something,” Oniyorkor said.
“This was an interaction that was held with about nine judiciary correspondents from different media houses.”

He also said his office was in contact with the media house to ensure a redress.
“We’re picking it with them and they said they’re making some amend,” he said.
A US Court of Appeal for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago had given an order for the extradition of the senator.
The court in its order confirmed that the senator is wanted in the states for cases of drug crimes against him.
Despite the US court’s order, Kashamu still enjoys a Nigerian court that prevents his extradition.
