Nigerians on Tuesday, January 17, took to micro blogging site, Twitter to blast the Nigerian Air-force over the accidental bombing of civilians at Rann, in Kala-Balge local government area of the State.
Recall that at least 52 aid workers and civilians were killed and about 120 injured on Tuesday when an air force jet accidentally bombed a camp in northeast Nigeria instead of Boko Haram militants.
The incident happened at about 9:00 am (0800 GMT) in Rann, in the far north of Borno state, the epicentre of the jihadists’ insurgency, as food was being distributed to displaced people.
The Rann IDP camp located in Kala-balge Local Government Area caters for thousands of persons displaced by Boko Haram insurgents.
Displeased with the development, Nigerians took to Social Media to lambast the airforce for the accidental bombing of civilians at Rann, in Kala-Balge local government area of the State.
