BIAFRA: Uwazuruike was behind Nnamdi Kanu's Secret Trial - Nnamdi Kanu Father said

It is certainly not a pleasant experience for a father to see his beloved son incarcerated indefinitely by the establishment. This is exactly the situation in which HRM Eze Israel Okwu Kanu, Egwu Ukwu 11 of Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia and father of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has found himself.
In this interview he spoke on the issues bordering his son's incarceration by the Nigerian government, despite the fact that the court has ruled and found him not-guilty of any charges, but same court still withheld his son freedom.
Eze Israel Okwu Kanu, Nnamdi Kanu's father is never happy with the recent development of trying his son in secret, as someone who was accused in public there are no reasons the federal government should seek a secret trial.

Answering questions to newsmen in his palace in Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia he pointed out that he already knew that Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of Biafra Independent Movement, BIM was behind his son secret trial as someone who hated his son, even to an extent of hiring assassins to kill Nnamdi Kanu when he went for the traditional marriage ceremony of his wife.

According to him; It surprises me that it is the same Nnamdi who was arrested earlier and after interrogation by security agents and I was asked to take him home that is being tried by masked men as so called witnesses. It was during this period we knew that it was Chief Ralph Uwazuruike who was instrumental to my son’s problem because during the time in question, he sent thugs that attacked Nnamdi when he went for the traditional marriage ceremony of his wife.
It is wrong and the family does not see the rationale behind the court granting Federal Government’s request that their witnesses should wear mask. It shows that there is something these people are trying to hide in my son’s case. We’ve protested this through Nnamdi’s lawyers and we are still protesting.

Giving a word to President Muhamadu Buhari to release his son, as he has done nothing in fighting for Igbo cause.

He said; My word for President Muhammadu Buhari is that he should release my son because in Nigeria and indeed the world over, we have freedom of speech and Nnamdi has not done anything to deserve being incarcerated for this long. I am saying this because you cannot be talking about peace in the country while Nnamdi is languishing in detention.
