VIDEO: Rivers State Fire Service has only one faulty van

Rivers State Fire Service has only one van and it is faulty. Dont even have water nmmm.
One place you should pray seriously not to be involved in a fire incident is Rivers State, Nigeria. This is because the state owned fire service is almost non-existent.
A recent fire incident today at Wogu street, Dline, in the heart of the capital city, Port Harcourt where two buildings, a bush bar and a popular lounge, Accourding to Reports Afrique  De Maur launge got burnt left residents weary when it took the fire service almost two hours to show up despite being called up earlier.
When the fire service men finally arrived the scene of the incident, they came with a faulty fire tanker and residents had to fetch water to quench the fire using plastic buckets. When approached why this is so, one of the firemen responded that the service had only one working truck and its water pump was also faulty.

It is so appalling that a state that harbors over 3.5 million people has only one fire fighting truck which is also faulty. We hope the state government rises to their responsibility by providing more trucks and necessary equipment to assist fire fighting and rescue operations in the state.
The fire service office is not more than 5 minutes drive from the spot of the fire incident yet it took the fire men more than 2  hours to show up after being alerted of the outbreak.
Residents can the seen in the video below decrying the poor response time and deplorable state of the fire fighting facilities. Sadly, The service men responded to calls saying they had no water in their truck. See video here
